Commercial HVAC Company Serving Government & Education Markets

This respected Commercial HVAC Company has experienced rapid growth and strong profitability in its over fifteen years in business. It includes two business units operating in the same market with similar products and services, and enjoys strong relationships with niche clients for sale and installation of commercial HVAC units. The Company specializes in non-union prevailing wage projects, namely government and educational institutions including K-12 schools and colleges and universities.

The Company typically has fewer than ten active projects at any given time, and has built a backlog of future contracted projects that exceeds two years of revenue. This steady revenue and the large available market provides a prospective buyer reliable future growth, and suggests the company has cultivated strong relationships with local specifiers and clients. Approximately fifty percent of the company’s projects are new construction while the other fifty percent are refurbishment projects in existing buildings. The average project brings $8-$10MM in revenue along with strong profitability.

The Company operates in two different facilities. The first property is an owned office space that serves as the Company headquarters, and includes five vacant rental tenant suites. The second property is 7,500 square feet of leased warehouse space used for storage. The office building is available for sale and the warehouse lease can be assumed.

One of the Company’s strongest assets is its team. The team has built strong ties with its clients based on quality work and responsiveness. These relationships are likely to transfer to the new ownership group following the sale of the Company.

This investment could be attractive to a strategic buyer looking to enter this niche market or to expand its products, services or geography. It could also be attractive to a financial buyer as a platform or add-on investment.

Ireland Construction Business

This business, established in 2010, specializes in providing construction services for  various buildings, including apartment blocks, hotels, and office buildings, as well as their associated basements and undercrofts. Projects typically last up to two years, and the company collaborates with some of the largest main contractors in Ireland, completing projects that range in value from €500,000 to €15 million, often on a labor and plant-only basis.

Industry Overview: The construction industry, particularly in Ireland, is experiencing a renaissance with significant government investments and a revival in office and residential developments. According to industry insights, the sector is set to flourish, backed by a €6 billion allocation for housing and a surge in renovation projects for aging buildings. This backdrop provides a fertile ground for growth-oriented businesses in the construction domain.

Growth & Expansion: The future outlook for this business is exceptionally bright, with opportunities to double turnover by integrating a full supply model. Expansion into other key cities presents an untapped avenue for growth, building on the firm’s success. Additionally, leveraging emerging markets and diversifying the workforce could further enhance operational capabilities and market reach.

Facilities: The business has a dedicated office space spanning 3,000 square feet, complemented by 8,000 square feet of warehousing and a substantial 90,000 square feet concrete yard area. This strategic setup enables efficient project management, logistics, and supply of equipment for on-site operations, ensuring high productivity and collaboration among the team.

The transaction includes approximately €9.5 million in total assets. The company employs a dedicated workforce of 250 to 350 individuals, led by a strong management team. The current owners are eager to stay with the company after the sale, and they are confident that the existing team will also remain with the business.

Mid-Atlantic Siding Company

This company provides exterior siding and trim services in central North Carolina, founded in 2012 and grown from a sole proprietor into an established business serving residential and commercial clients. The business focuses on high-end residential construction with selective commercial projects.

Services include installation of siding (vinyl, fiber cement, cedar), exterior trim, pergolas, window replacement, and related exterior work. Average customer revenue is approximately $100,000. About 85–90% of work is residential, and 10–15% is commercial. The customer base consists of about 16 general contractors, with 7–8 core repeat clients. In 2024 no single customer accounted for more than 20% of revenue.

Revenue slowed in late 2023 and early 2024 due to seasonal and election-year market effects, focus on strengthening contractor relationships, and a large commercial project that consumed resources. Pipeline work and contractor relationships remained strong, with two commercial jobs booked for late 2024 and early 2025.

Although year-to-date revenue and earnings appear to be down in 2025 approximately $245,000 has been billed to various clients but not collected as the contractors are paying more slowly than usual.  Almost all corresponding labor and material costs have already been paid out, so when collections are completed, the P&L will reflect more accurately. Additionally, a $35,000 deposit has already been paid for materials for a commercial job starting next January, which will be billed soon.  In addition, a highly profitable commercial job is also scheduled to begin in the first week of next month.

The business has an experienced team, transferable supplier and customer relationships, and opportunities to expand residential, commercial, and production builder segments.

No specific licenses are required to operate, though a General Contractor license could help expand direct-to-homeowner work. The owner currently performs estimating and ordering but superintendents could be trained in estimating.

Texas Commercial and Industrial Equipment Rental Company

This service-focused equipment rental and field services company operates across Texas and New Mexico. Launched in 2022 by experienced industry operators, it has quickly gained traction in the oil & gas and construction sectors by delivering rapid response times, flexible billing, and full field support — including equipment, transportation, fueling, and site services.

Growth has been accelerated by strategic sales hires with strong industry relationships. The company owns part of its fleet while also leveraging a unique third-party equipment arrangement that enables control of over 100+ units without significant capital investment. It also utilizes a modern tracking system that provides clients with real-time visibility into equipment usage and location — a feature uncommon among similar service providers.

The business maintains a low employee turnover rate, a diversified and loyal customer base, and scalable systems. Ownership is looking to fully exit, though operational continuity is supported by current staff. While SBA financing may not apply, the deal is well-suited for asset-based lending.
